Elisa Thurman, MS, CCC-SLP, is a co-founder of The Feeding Link and a speech-language pathologist with ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP), licensed in California, Oregon, and Washington. She is currently Feeding Team Lead at Multnomah Education Service District (MESD), where she leads interdisciplinary feeding services across ages and diagnoses and provides teacher and family support. Her clinical background spans outpatient pediatric feeding, telehealth, and collaborative care with OT and ABA teams. She is certified in the SOS Approach to Feeding through the STAR Institute for Sensory Processing. She is a graduate of California State University — East Bay.
Why we built this directory
Finding quality pediatric feeding CEUs as an SLP or OT is harder than it should be. Courses are scattered across dozens of providers, approval body information is inconsistently displayed, and there's no cross-disciplinary resource that treats SLPs and OTs as working on the same clinical problems.
We built The Feeding Link CEU Directory to fix that — a single place where clinicians can find, filter, and evaluate continuing education in pediatric feeding, with listings reviewed by people who actually work in this area.
Our course review process
Every course in this directory goes through the same evaluation before it appears in listings.
- We identify pediatric feeding CEU courses from public provider websites and clinician referrals.
- We check the course title, provider, intended clinical audience, format, CEU information, topic area, price when available, and registration link.
- We classify the course by clinical topic, profession fit (SLP, OT, or both), and delivery type.
- We flag courses that appear especially relevant for pediatric feeding clinicians based on topic depth, provider credibility, clinical utility, and transparency of CEU details.
- We periodically recheck listings, but clinicians should always confirm final details with the provider before registering.
We aim to recheck active listings regularly and prioritize updates when providers notify us of changes or users report outdated information. Each listing shows the date it was last verified.
What we check before approving a course
Every listed course has been reviewed against the following criteria:
- Relevance to pediatric feeding. Courses must address a topic directly relevant to SLP or OT practice — including dysphagia, oral motor development, sensory-based feeding, tube weaning, infant feeding, or closely related areas.
- Intended clinical audience. Courses must be designed for licensed SLPs, OTs, or both. Courses aimed at caregivers or non-clinical professionals are excluded or clearly flagged.
- CEU or PDU approval body confirmed. We record the approval body (ASHA, AOTA, state licensing board, or other) as stated by the provider. We do not independently verify approval status — always confirm with the provider before registering.
- Provider is identifiable and legitimate. The offering organization has an established, publicly verifiable web presence.
- Course is publicly accessible. Courses must be available without requiring existing employment or institutional membership to purchase.
- Metadata is accurate at time of review. We record title, provider, profession fit, delivery format, CEU hours, price, and availability from the provider's own public pages.
What we do not guarantee
The Feeding Link does not sell third-party courses, issue CE certificates for third-party courses, independently approve CE credit, or guarantee provider availability. Course details may change after we review them.
We do not determine whether a specific course will satisfy an individual clinician's licensure or certification requirements. That determination is between you, your licensing board, and the course provider.
Inclusion in this directory is not an endorsement of a provider's clinical philosophy, teaching quality, or business practices — unless the listing is explicitly marked Recommended.
